Guitar Group Classes

INTRODUCTION TO THE GUITAR:
10-Week Course for Ages 8 – 13

Tuesdays 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Fall Session: October 15 – December 17 **now enrolling

*Enrollment closes after the 3rd week of each session

Tuition: $195 per session // 10 week course
$25 enrollment fee includes the book

Book: Hal Leonard Guitar For Kids, Book 1 by Morris & Schroedl

Requirements: No experience is required. Must own a guitar and a tuner to bring to class. 10% discount on purchasing guitar/tuner/equipment if enrolled in the class. Each student is expected to practice 15 minutes daily to keep up with the progress of the class.

Class Description: This beginner course is an introduction to playing the guitar. Students will learn the basics of songs of many styles, instrument maintenance, beginner techniques, music theory and history, and sight reading.

Completion Detail: Upon completion of this course, students are encouraged to continue their guitar study in Class Guitar, which meets weekly on Tuesdays from 5:00-6:00pm.

CLASS GUITAR: An Open Enrollment Class for Ages 8 – 15

Tuesdays 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Tuition: $80 per month $25 enrollment fee (waived for currently enrolled students).

Book: Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1 by Schmid & Koch

Class Description: This class is intended to be a casual weekly opportunity for guitarists of all ages to play and learn in a group environment. Weekly group lessons will allow guitarists of most experience levels to work on concepts such as fretboard harmony, music theory, ensemble repertoire, sight reading, ear playing, and more.

Requirements: About 3 to 6 months of previous guitar experience, or completion of the Introduction to the Guitar course. Must own a guitar and a tuner to bring to class. 10% discount on purchasing guitar/tuner/equipment if enrolled in the class.
