Susanne Hinrichs is a multi-instrumentalist and lover of music who began with the piano at age 6. She then took on the cello in elementary school and joined choir once reaching junior high in Mesa, Arizona. She took lessons throughout her time in school and accompanied theater and choir performances on the piano under Debbie Davey at Rhodes Junior High and Bart Evans at Dobson High School.

Susanne graduated from the University of Arizona in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a Minor in Music, focusing on acapella jazz vocals, piano accompaniment and group rehearsal management, and cello and piano performance. Since graduating she has been a teacher for multiple local organizations, taught privately for multiple families in their homes, and has played professional gigs on both the cello and piano.

Susanne has several years’ experience working with students of all ages and is passionate about music education. She is very fond of bringing joy into the classroom with music fundamentals for children and is equally passionate about bringing a sense of structure and understanding to lessons for her intermediate to advanced students, both teens, and adults.

Susanne additionally specializes in and is passionate about providing both kind and structured lessons to children with special needs and has many years of experience working with students on the autism spectrum, those with ADHD, etc.
