Isaac Wisdom is a pianist, trombonist, composer, and educator from Queen Creek, Arizona. He plays many different styles, but especially enjoys jazz, samba, salsa, soul, and funk. He began playing piano at age 4, launching a lifelong love of music, leading to diverse performing experiences playing trombone and piano in various jazz ensembles, playing sousaphone in the Sun Devil Marching Band, and playing steel pan in the Sun Devil Steel Drum ensemble. In his career he has performed both domestically in the United States, but also abroad in Mexico, Canada, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands.
He recently returned to Arizona after living in Valencia, Spain. While in Valencia, he completed a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance at Berklee College of Music, studying piano under professor Albert Palau. Prior to this, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music at ASU, studying jazz trombone under professor Steve McAllister. In his classes, Isaac aims not only to help students improve on their instrument, but also to introduce them to the vast world of music as a whole.
While not teaching, Isaac enjoys traveling, learning languages, playing chess, and spending time with his family.
