Our faculty includes university‑trained vocalists, active performers, and specialists in classical, musical theatre, contemporary, and commercial vocal pedagogy. Each instructor is committed to helping students build a strong, healthy vocal foundation through individualized, goal‑oriented instruction.
EVSM voice instructors hold degrees in vocal performance, music education, or vocal pedagogy from respected institutions such as Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, Brigham Young University, and other accredited universities nationwide. Many have extensive experience performing professionally in opera, musical theatre, choral ensembles, and contemporary settings, as well as teaching students of all ages and levels.
Our instructors teach a wide range of vocal styles—classical, musical theatre, pop, jazz, worship, contemporary commercial music, and more. Whether you’re preparing for auditions, building classical technique, developing stage presence, or simply wanting to sing your favorite songs with confidence, we tailor lessons to your goals.
Students receive a comprehensive vocal education, including:
Breath support, posture, and healthy vocal technique

For voice instruction, East Valley School of Music uses a customized curriculum that corresponds with each student’s age/level. Students cover a variety of topics, including proper breathing techniques, transition points in the vocal range, correct posture, basic music theory, and more. By using proper vocal exercises and technique, students will learn how to better control their voice, extend their vocal range, and gain further understanding of what it means to perform vocally.
