Medha Sivakumar
Medha Sivakumar is a dedicated pianist and multi‑instrumentalist who has cultivated her love of music since early childhood. She began piano lessons at age five and spent eight years studying at East Valley School of Music, where she built a strong foundation in technique, musicianship, and music theory. Medha has completed all 12 levels of the Arizona Study Program through Arizona State University and has performed throughout the Valley in settings ranging from coffee shops and concert halls to community and senior centers.
In addition to piano, Medha has seven years of experience playing flute and three years playing tenor saxophone through her school band program. Her musical interests span a wide range of styles—she is especially drawn to Romantic‑era repertoire, but also enjoys arranging and interpreting pop and Disney music.
As a teacher, Medha loves working with younger students and strives to create a warm, encouraging environment where they feel comfortable exploring music and developing confidence. Having been an EVSM student herself, she understands the school’s teaching approach and the experience of learning an instrument from a young age. Medha looks forward to sharing her passion for music with her students and helping them grow creatively while building a lifelong appreciation for piano.
