OUR INSTRUCTORS

David Bracamonte is an accomplished educator, conductor, and violist whose work throughout the Phoenix Valley reflects both artistic excellence and a deep commitment to student growth. Now in his fifth year as Director of Orchestras at Skyline High School, David has built a reputation for creating dynamic, engaging learning environments that blend cross‑disciplinary collaboration with innovative teaching models. His background in string pedagogy, orchestral conducting, and music education for underrepresented communities informs an agile, student‑centered approach that cultivates critical thinking, musical independence, and lifelong learning.

As a conductor and performer, David has contributed widely to the Arizona music community. He has guest conducted at festivals across the Phoenix metropolitan area, curated repertoire for students of varying technical levels, and led ensembles through personalized, thoughtfully interpreted performances. His leadership extends beyond the classroom—he has coordinated regional events for statewide associations, run district‑wide clinics, and served as West Region Governor for the Arizona Music Educators Association’s All‑Region Festivals. David’s musicianship and organizational expertise have made him a trusted figure in both educational and professional music settings.

David’s teaching experience also includes private instruction through the ASU String Project, where he developed individualized curricula using etudes such as Sevcik, Mazas, Kayser, and Kreutzer to support technical growth. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Learning and Teaching (Magna Cum Laude) from Arizona State University and a Master of Applied Leadership and Management from ASU’s Thunderbird School of Global Management. With a blend of pedagogical depth, leadership experience, and genuine passion for student success, David brings a thoughtful, motivating presence to every lesson and ensemble he leads.
