Xinyue Zhang is an accomplished pianist and dedicated educator whose musical training spans leading conservatories in the United States, United Kingdom, and China. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at Arizona State University, studying under Dr. Baruch Meir. Xinyue earned her Master’s degree with distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where she trained with renowned professors Frank Wibaut and Roberto Plano. Her artistic development also includes extended study with distinguished faculty from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and the Royal College of Music in London.
As a performer, Xinyue has appeared in solo recitals, chamber concerts, lecture‑recitals, and masterclasses across the U.S., U.K., and China. She has worked with an extraordinary roster of internationally recognized artists, including Robert Hamilton, Jean‑Efflam Bavouzet, Kathryn Stott, Yury Shadrin, Vitaly Pisarenko, Philippe Cassard, and Stijn DeCock. Her playing has been praised by Alexander Braginsky, Graham Scott, Jose Ramos Santana, and other respected pedagogues. Xinyue is an active recitalist, a contracted artist with Hemiola Music, a member of the IPPA Piano Association, and a prizewinner in multiple international competitions, including first prizes in the Fanny Mendelssohn International Piano Competition, UK Global Genius Music Competition, and Hua Biao International Piano Open Competition.
Alongside her performance career, Xinyue is a passionate and experienced teacher. She has taught students of all ages and levels in both the U.S. and abroad, including positions at Arizona School of Music, Nicholas Piano Studio, and several institutions in Beijing. Her pedagogy training includes formal coursework, supervised teaching, and a viva presentation at RNCM, with specialized experience working with young beginners, advanced students, and learners with ADHD. Xinyue’s students have earned top competition placements, passed international exam boards, and developed strong musical foundations under her guidance. She brings warmth, structure, and deep musical insight to every lesson, helping students grow with confidence and artistry.
