Theodore (Ted) Steinbrecher is passionate about classical music and plays several instruments. He started learning clarinet in elementary school and began playing piano at age 12. Throughout his time in school, Ted participated in concert bands both in elementary and junior high in Warminster, PA, and continued with choir and the high school concert band at William Tennent High School. While in high school, he also studied clarinet and piano at Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, PA.
Ted earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) in 1977, followed by a master’s degree in music education in 1982. He served as an instrumental music educator for 31 years in the Salisbury Township School District, Allentown, PA. After relocating to Arizona in 2012, Ted taught at Basis Charter School for two years, Chandler Unified School District for four years, and Queen Creek Unified School District for two years. Throughout his career, Ted has provided private instruction to numerous families and performed professionally on both the saxophone and piano.
Ted possesses several years of experience instructing students across various age groups, with a deep commitment to music education. He is dedicated to fostering enjoyment and engagement with musical fundamentals among children, while providing structured and insightful lessons to his intermediate and advanced students, including both adolescents and adults.
Ted is committed to providing support for parents interested in piano lessons for their children, as well as for adults wishing to pursue studies in the instrument.
