Zhanglin Hu has performed in many countries, including China, Italy, Greece and
the United States. When he was 13 years old he started his professional music training
at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music Secondary School, studying with Yi Feng. In
2014 he was accepted into the Interlochen Arts Academy, studying with Dr. Michael
Coonrod. In 2015 he entered Bowling Green State University, studying with Dr. Robert
Satterlee. In 2020, he pursued his masters degree program in California State University
Northridge, studying with Dr. Dmitry Rachmanov. In 2022, he continuing his DMA
program in Arizona State University, and currently studying with Dr. Baruch Meir.
He has attended the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York,
Piano Plus Festival in Corfu Greece, and the Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy.
Zhanglin has participated in many piano master classes, such as studying with
Alexander Tutunov, Anna Schein, Nikita Fitenko, Sarkis Baltaian, Daniel Shapiro,
Hong Xu, Yuan Sheng, Alexander Kobrin, John Perry and Boris Berman.
He has had success in numerous piano competitions, including winning the
second prize and Chopin Sonata award in Chopin Avenue International Piano
competition (2021); winning the gold prize of Musicale Classical Style Piano
Competition (2021); wining the MTNA Ohio Young Artist Piano Competition
(2017); winning the Concerto Competition in Bowling Green State university (2017);
Semifinalist in Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Competition in New York (2018).
