Bridget Mitchell is a violin teacher and performer from Tucson, Arizona.
She possesses a wealth of experience as a violin and viola instructor and her student’s
achievements include admittance into the Phoenix Youth Symphony, Metropolitan Youth
Symphony, AMEA All-State Orchestra, and numerous successful solo performances. Bridget’s
philosophy is that a teacher is responsible for providing an education that is appropriate to the
age, ability, and unique learning style of each student. Students should get a holistic education
that addresses several styles and cultures while exploring music that is relevant to their
lives. Bridget focuses on a strong technical foundation, and giving students the critical thinking
skills to assess their learning both on and away from their instrument.
Bridget is an undergraduate at Arizona State University. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in
Violin Performance. She currently studies with Dr. Katherine McLin. Bridget is also a member of
the Arizona State University Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Alejandro
Gomez-Guillen.
