Dylan Feldpausch – Violin & Viola

Dylan Feldpausch is a freelance professional violinist working in the Phoenix area. He has a Masters Degree in Violin Performance from ASU’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, where he studied performance and pedagogy with Jonathan Swartz. In 2018, he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Violin Performance from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston, TX, where he studied with Professor Kenneth Goldsmith.
In the past, he’s studied with two other Rice alums, William Fedkenheuer of the Miro String Quartet, and Jessica Mathaes, concertmaster of the Austin Symphony, with which Dylan had his solo debut in 2013 on the Prokofiev D Major Violin Concerto. The summer festivals he has attended include Luzerne Music Center, The Castleman Quartet Program, Domaine Forget, National Music Festival, and Madeline Island Chamber Music Festival, where he was a Chamber Music Fellow in 2016 and 2018.
Whether he’s teaching or performing, he seeks to adapt musical convention to best serve whichever community he’s bringing his experience to.
